Goodbye, 2020! Instead of New Year’s Resolutions, I have New Year’s hopes this year.
2020, you were such a horrible year.
First, in April my neurologist formally diagnosed me with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, the most painful disease that exists. I had had twenty-two surgeries, the last three on the extremity that was hurting. Since that dreadful day, I’ve tried everything known to the medical world for pain but still get very little relief.
My condition forced us to move to an ‘age in place’ home, in which everything I need is on the entry-level. So that I could drive on one of my very rare ‘good days’, we replaced my car with a Subaru with more safety features to protect me. But I’ve only been able to drive twice, for a total of less than ten miles.
Despite the pain meds I’ve tried
and the new house and car,
I still have to spend
most of my time lying in bed.
In addition, COVID kept me home most of the year, unable to socialize. This isolation, along with my CRPS illness, increased the depression that resulted from a very hard life.
Then, in November of 2020, a questionable election ousted the President who’s done more for our country in four years than Joe Biden has done in his fifty years in politics. Under his leadership and guidance, researchers developed a unique coronavirus vaccine. He also negotiated with countries in the Middle East that have warred for hundreds of years and helped create a peace agreement in that region. Also, his business strategies boosted the economy to its highest level in over fifty years.
But, in states like Georgia, democrats counted suitcases of untrackable ballots after counting had stopped for the night. China’s money and influence underlie this crap, for sure. If the US has a leader who cannot stand up to China, communist China will become the world leader. Unfortunately, Joe Biden cannot do this because he and others in his family have ‘underground connections’ to China.
Facebook, Twitter, and other social media as well as CNN, MSNB, CBS, and other news outlets controlled what we saw and shared. They forbid us from hearing the details of Hunter Biden’s unscrupulous activities before we voted in November.
So, in 2020, I happily say goodbye to you!
I have no resolutions this new year, only hope that the future will be better. My hopes aren’t likely to be realized, but here they are anyway.
- Social media, the news outlets, and all of the other powers that have tried to brainwash me and all other Americans cease their attempts. I was taught to think for myself and anyone who tries to control my brain won’t succeed. Not even when I’m under the influence of pain meds!
- That the House of Representatives doesn’t certify the Electoral College results until the Supreme Court can review all of the evidence regarding how votes were counted. President Trump has given much of himself to help the US, and he at least deserves honest election results.
- The new COVID-19 vaccine enables the whole world to get back to normal, whatever normal is.
- That someone finds something that reduces my CRPS pain.
2020, I’m giving you the bird, because you deserve it!
Goodbye, 2020!
2021, please don’t copy your predecessor,
but bring good things instead.
