{"id":4578,"date":"2017-11-19T21:51:06","date_gmt":"2017-11-20T02:51:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bobbiejrae.com\/home\/?p=4578"},"modified":"2024-08-29T12:59:07","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T16:59:07","slug":"lessons-bj-rae-eagle-encouraging-words","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bobbiejrae.com\/home\/lessons-bj-rae-eagle-encouraging-words\/","title":{"rendered":"Life Lessons After a Major Health Issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>Lessons we all can learn.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>My friend Teneal had a heart issue recently.\u00a0 Because she had chest pain and struggled to breathe, her father took her to the hospital.\u00a0 She had been through many struggles and life challenges and was ready to give up on life, but I am happy to say she continued her fight this time.<\/p>\n<p>Like my friend, I have had serious health issues.\u00a0 There are many lessons one can ponder after a major health event.<\/p>\n<h5>Here are a few to start with.<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Life isn\u2019t fair, but it\u2019s still good.<\/li>\n<li>When in doubt, just take the next small step.<\/li>\n<li>Your job won\u2019t take care of you after your heart attack or other health issue. Your friends and family will. Stay in touch.<\/li>\n<li>Make peace with your past so it won\u2019t screw up the present.<\/li>\n<li>However good or bad a situation is, it will change.<\/li>\n<li>Everything can change in the blink of an eye. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.<\/li>\n<li>Whatever doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger.<\/li>\n<li>Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, and wear the fancy lingerie. Don\u2019t save them for a special occasion. Every day you wake up is special.<\/li>\n<li>No one is in charge of your happiness but YOU.<\/li>\n<li>Frame every so-called disaster with these words: \u2018In five years, will this even matter?\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Forgive everyone everything. Harboring grudges and unforgiveness only makes you stress out more.<\/li>\n<li>What other people think of you is none of your business.<\/li>\n<li>Time heals almost everything. Give time time.<\/li>\n<li>Get outside in the fresh air every day.
