\"Encouraging<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you an angel?\u201d, an Appalachian Trail hiker asked me. \u00a0I said, \u201cNo, I am just someone who loves to help others.\u201d\u00a0 He replied, \u201cThen you are an angel!\u201d<\/p>\n

If helping others is the description of an angel,<\/h4>\n

I am happy to be called an angel!<\/h4>\n

I am happiest when I am helping someone else.\u00a0 When I help someone else, I do not think about my own issues and problems. And I do not feel anxious or depressed.\u00a0 When I am helping others, I do not feel the usual phantom pain in my foot.\u00a0 I also feel healthy and very happy.<\/p>\n

Two role models in my life are my Grandma and my Mother.\u00a0 One I try to emulate, and the other taught me what not<\/em> to do and how not<\/em> to treat others.<\/p>\n

My Grandma was truly an angel and I am very fortunate to have had her in my life as a role model.\u00a0 She helped others every chance she got.\u00a0 She had no health issues, never took any medications, and was always happy.\u00a0 My Mother is the exact opposite of my Grandma.\u00a0 She is selfish and hurts others every chance she can.\u00a0 She only talks about herself and her problems and does not care about what is going on in others\u2019 lives.\u00a0 My mother hurts all the time physically and complains constantly.\u00a0 She takes bunches of medications! So I copy my Grandma every chance I get!<\/p>\n

Everyone who takes medications is not selfish and unkind like my Mother is.\u00a0 Some people simply have health issues like I have had.\u00a0 Helping others helps me cope with my health issues because it reduces my pain, helps my immune system, and makes me feel happy.<\/p>\n

Everyone who experiences physical pain is not selfish and unkind like my Mother is.\u00a0 I realize that some people have painful, chronic health issues.\u00a0 They need pain medications.<\/p>\n

There is a natural pain killer that does not cause any side effects\u2014<\/h4>\n

helping others!<\/h4>\n

Let\u2019s all be angels!<\/h4>\n

I challenge you to help others every day of your life.\u00a0 I promise that you will feel better about yourself.\u00a0 Your stress level will go down.\u00a0 Anxiety, depression, and physical pain will diminish.\u00a0 Your immune system will be stronger and fight harder to keep you healthy.
