She told him she felt very depressed because her life was meaningless.<\/p>\n<p>Wisely her psychiatrist called over the cleaning lady. Then he said to the rich lady, \u201cMary here will tell you how she found joy. All I want you to do is listen to her.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">So the cleaning lady sat down and told her story.<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cMy only son was killed in a car accident three months after my husband died of cancer. I had nobody and nothing.\u00a0 I could not sleep or eat and never smiled at anyone. And I even thought of taking my own life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen one evening, a little kitten followed me home from work. \u00a0Feeling sorry for him since it was cold outside, I decided to let him come into my home. He licked a plate of milk clean and then he rubbed against my leg. For the first time in months, I smiled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen a thought occurred to me.\u00a0 If helping a little kitten could make me smile, maybe doing something for other people could make me feel joy again.
