But sometimes I got to go Grandma\u2019s peaceful home filled with love.\u00a0 Grandma taught me many things, but one of the most important things she taught me was to love my troubles away.<\/p>\n<p>How can you love your troubles away?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, \u201cloving your troubles away\u201d sounds crazy, but it does help when you are facing a challenge.\u00a0 How do you practice loving \u00a0your troubles away?<\/p>\n<p>Grandma said that when I am in a relationship with problems, I should love the person who is giving me problems and she taught me how to do this by her own example.<\/p>\n<p>One example of this is how I have dealt with family members.\u00a0 When someone annoys me, I show them as much love as I possibly can to show them there is another way to live.\u00a0 Love sometimes means simply being kind, but other times it means setting boundaries and demanding accountability.\u00a0 Boundaries prevent the person from continuing to destroy himself and others. Accountability helps the person to understand that he must change his behavior.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My current husband is a known tickle monster.\u00a0 When he tickles me, my kidneys immediately empty all of their contents into my bladder and an urgent need results.\u00a0 As he tickles me, I try to hug him, because he tickles me to get attention.\u00a0 Eventually, after he gets enough hugs, he stops tickling me and lets me up to take care of the urgent need his tickling created.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I tried to love one of my current sisters-in-law with hugs and other support, but she kept verbally attacking me publicly at meals and treating me very badly.\u00a0 She did not respond to love and forced my husband and me to set loving boundaries.\u00a0 But she continually violated the loving boundaries and forced us to take further action.\u00a0 We have lovingly told her that we will no longer tolerate how she treats me, that she must treat me with the same respect she wants us to give her if we are to spend time with her. This tough love was required when she did not respond to any other loving interventions. These interventions are loving because they keep her from hurting others, something people do not do in loving relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Right now the US needs to stand up and love away its troubles with violence. \u00a0We need to set boundaries that restrict people from hurting others and themselves.\u00a0 Gun control laws, violent video games, and other violent media need clear boundaries. Mental health background checks are essential to these boundaries. \u00a0But we also need to deal with the real cause of our violence troubles, a general lack of morality in our society.\u00a0 Teachers, parents, religious leaders, and others must set loving examples of good moral behavior and hold others accountable for their immoral actions if we are to undermine the root cause of our troubles.
