Did I have to be born to a Mother who has never loved me?\u201d\u00a0 I have also been considering about asking the surgeon to give me the amputated parts of my right foot so I can somehow find a way to give them to my mother with a thank you note for not giving me proper fitting shoes as a child.\u00a0 Of course, I would also need to mention in my thank you note the fact that none of my siblings have ever had ANY foot issues.<\/p>\n<p>But yesterday I started thinking more positively.\u00a0 Now I am simply looking forward to my amputation surgery that will happen two weeks from tomorrow.\u00a0 Recovery will be long and painful but after recovery my right foot will feel great the way my left foot has since recovering from its amputation surgery in June of last year. What changed my thoughts?<\/p>\n<h4>What cheered me up?<\/h4>\n<p>Yesterday we took my husband\u2019s car to get the tire shop for repair.\u00a0 Sitting next to my husband in the waiting room was a six year-old boy who looked very charming.\u00a0 Complimenting her son, we began to chat with his Mom.\u00a0 She had had the lower part of her left leg amputated due to a blood clot following heart surgery.\u00a0 Now she cannot get a job because she is an insurance risk, a fall risk. \u00a0And she also has many other issues, which she told us about.<\/p>\n<p>Somehow after meeting this woman, I started to cheer up.\u00a0 Due to no fault of her own, her life is much harder than my own.\u00a0 In fact, I live on easy street compared to her and her five children. After chatting with this woman, I actually felt like forgiving my mother.<\/p>\n<p>You have had challenging experiences in your life too.\u00a0 And you probably continue to have challenges in your life.\u00a0 But whatever you are going through, always remember that someone else lives a life much harder than your own, and cheer up!
