Did you know the Veterans\u2019 Administration compensates Vietnam veterans who have these health issues with disability income and free health care?<\/p>\n<p>These illnesses include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>AL Amyloidosis<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This disease occurs when the abnormal protein amyloid enters the tissues or organs.\u00a0 Symptoms include swelling in ankles or legs, severe fatigue or weakness, shortness of breath, or numbness and tingling and pain in your hands or feet, especially in your wrist.\u00a0 Also diarrhea and unintentional and significant weight loss.\u00a0 More symptoms include skin changes such as thickening or easy bruising with or without purplish patches around the eyes, an irregular heartbeat, and difficulty swallowing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>Type 2 Diabetes<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Diabetes causes high blood sugar levels. Because it also cause the body\u2019s to not properly respond to the hormone insulin, it requires constant management.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>Heart Disease<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Did you know that veterans exposed to Agent Orange usually have atypical symptoms of heart disease? Often related to diabetes, this disease causes a reduced supply of blood to the heart and chest pain.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>Parkinson\u2019s Disease<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your hands shake and you have any memory issues, you might need an evaluation for this disease.
